Basketball Recap: Lincoln Takes a Loss

Lincoln was the 95-61 winner over Benson Tech when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lincoln Cardinals took a hard 87-70 fall against the Benson Tech Astros on Saturday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (65), the Cardinals still had to take the loss.

Lincoln's defeat was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points per game. As for Benson Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

While Lincoln had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
