Albany waltzed into their game on Thursday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They blew past the Bethel Jaguars 75-48. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Jaguars are ranked 517th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Albany is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points per game. As for Bethel, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Albany won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Salesian College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Salesian College Preparatory knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 contests -- so hopefully Albany likes a good challenge.
