Basketball Recap: IMG Academy Blue Comes Up Short

IMG Academy Blue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 47-31 fall against the Riverview Sarasota Rams. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ascenders of the 73-53 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

IMG Academy Blue's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Riverview Sarasota, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.

IMG Academy Blue will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Riverview Sarasota at 7:30 p.m. on January 17, 2025. Riverview Sarasota will take on Venice in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
