Softball Recap: Tyler Legacy Takes a Loss

Tyler Legacy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Longview Lobos, falling 19-8. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since February 27, 2018, but that streak is no more.

Tyler Legacy got a big performance out of Hadison Maxey, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Sophia Viramontes, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Tyler Legacy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Longview, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tyler Legacy will square off against rival Rockwall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Longview is set to face off against their familiar foe Rockwall-Heath at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
