Softball Recap: Cloverdale Comes Up Short

Cloverdale and Clay City squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cloverdale had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eels by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Clovers in their meetings with the Eels: they've now lost four in a row.

Cloverdale's record is now 8-13. As for Clay City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Cloverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clay City, they will square off against Dugger Union at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
