Basketball Recap: Jackson Central Merry's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 79-77 win from a begrudging Cougars squad. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jackson Central Merry's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Bolivar Central, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-8.

Jackson Central Merry has already played their next matchup, an 82-54 defeat against Haywood on the 21st. As for Bolivar Central, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chester County at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
