Football Game Recap: Hardin Valley Academy vs. Jefferson County

After a big victory against William Blount last Friday, Jefferson County came back down to earth. It was close but no cigar for Jefferson County as they fell 35-38 to Hardin Valley Academy on Friday. If Jefferson County were hoping to take revenge for the 0-21 defeat against Hardin Valley Academy the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed.

The loss dropped Jefferson County's record to 4-3. The victory bumped Hardin Valley Academy's record up to 4-2.

Next week Jefferson County take on Morristown-Hamblen West at 7:30 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup. As for Hardin Valley Academy, they will face off against Science Hill. Science Hill took a loss in their last contest and are no doubt out to reverse Hardin Valley Academy's good fortune.
