Preview: Becker Bulldogs vs. Princeton Tigers
Becker is 1-9 against Princeton since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Becker Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Princeton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Becker knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 13 matchups -- so hopefully Princeton likes a good challenge.
Even though Zimmerman scored an imposing 62 points on Friday, Becker still came out on top. Becker blew past Zimmerman 92-62 at home.
Becker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mitchell Soltau, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Brown, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Princeton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight defeat. They took a 87-80 hit to the loss column at the hands of Chisago Lakes Area. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (63), Princeton still had to take the loss.
Becker's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10. As for Princeton, they dropped their record down to 1-19 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Becker was able to grind out a solid victory over Princeton in their previous matchup back in January, winning 98-86. Does Becker have another victory up their sleeve, or will Princeton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
