Football Recap: Fair Haven Comes Up Short

If Fair Haven was riding high fresh off their 35-0 takedown of Brattleboro last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Slaters lost 52-27 to the Bellows Falls Terriers on Friday. The Slaters were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Terriers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Fair Haven now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bellows Falls, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fair Haven will head out to take on North Country Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Slaters will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.4 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Bellows Falls, they will venture away from home to face off against Lyndon Institute at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
