Football Recap: Jacob Paisano Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Heritage Christian

Hart's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Heritage Christian Warriors 49-34. With that win, the Hawks brought their scoring average up to 29 points per game.

Hart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Paisano, who threw for 223 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 58 yards and one score on only five carries. Matix Frithsmith was Paisano's top target, picking up 70 receiving yards, while also rushing for 129 yards and one TD on only 13 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hart was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 224 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Hart's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In that department, Josh Whitson was the leader with 2.5 sacks. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 sacks per game.

Despite the loss, Heritage Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Donovan Booker picked up 138 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Ari Sykes was another key signal caller, throwing for 231 yards on only 15 passes.

The victory got Hart back to even at 2-2. As for Heritage Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Hart wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 46-35 win against Saugus on the 19th. As for Heritage Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 44-28 victory against Valley View on the 19th.
