Softball Recap: West Genesee Extends Winning Streak to Three

West Genesee hadn't done well against Baldwinsville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Wildcats walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bees. The win was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won three games in a row.

Alanna Bowman was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Kyra Lynch, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

West Genesee's record now sits at 4-2. As for Baldwinsville, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Genesee will square off against Cicero-North Syracuse at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Northstars have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Baldwinsville, they will challenge Liverpool at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
