            Jefferson is on  a five-game streak of home losses, and Spencerville a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck  on Monday. The Jefferson Wildcats will be playing at home against the Spencerville Bearcats  at 5:00  p.m. Jefferson has given up an average of 8  runs per game this season, but Monday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Jefferson came up short against  Leipsic on Friday, falling  12-1.
 Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Lucas Millmine, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base.  Dean Trentman also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 Meanwhile,  it was close, but  on Friday Spencerville sidestepped Upper Scioto Valley for  a  3-1 win.
 Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Spencerville,  the  victory  got them back to even at 3-3.
 Jefferson came out on top in a nail-biter against Spencerville when the teams last played  back in April of 2024, sneaking past  2-1. Will the Wildcats repeat their success,  or do  the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
