Football Recap: Percy Julian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Percy Julian managed to keep up with Benjamin Russell until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Phoenix were dealt a 45-13 defeat at the hands of the Wildcats. The Phoenix were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Percy Julian still got an impressive performance from Samuel McCall, who picked up 69 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The Phoenix also got help from Orrion Harvest, who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.

Benjamin Russell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cederian Morgan, who picked up 137 receiving yards and two scores. That's the most receiving yards Morgan has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was Jyque Norris, who rushed for 93 yards and one touchdown on only 12 carries.

Percy Julian's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Benjamin Russell, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Percy Julian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Benjamin Russell, they will square off against Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
