Basketball Recap: East Fairmont Takes a Loss

East Fairmont was the 59-35 winner over Frankfort when they last played one another back in February of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the East Fairmont Bees and the Frankfort Falcons didn't end well, with the East Fairmont Bees falling 67-49.

Despite the loss, East Fairmont still got an impressive performance from Austin Taylor, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 21 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Taylor a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was River Mcclain, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 11 points.

East Fairmont has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Frankfort and bumps their season record up to 11-9.

East Fairmont didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-41 defeat against Buckhannon-Upshur on the 3rd. As for Frankfort, they will head out on the road to face off against East Hardy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East Hardy will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Frankfort surely won't give up without a fight.
