Oxbow put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by the Montpelier Solons to the tune of 73-23. Given the Olympians' advantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked sixth, while the Solons are ranked 47th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oxbow's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Montpelier, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.

Oxbow is taking a road trip to square off against Thetford Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oxbow's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Thetford Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. Montpelier has already played their next game (against Peoples Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
