Baseball Recap: Eagan's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Eagan came into Monday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lakeville South Cougars on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Cougars two weeks ago, they had to take a 5-3 loss.

Brody Illa spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on six hits. He has become a key player for Eagan: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-8 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brandon Lunneborg, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Theo King, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
