Football Recap: Coconino Panthers vs. River Valley Dust Devils
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, Coconino was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the River Valley Dust Devils 41-7 at home. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their six-point performance the game before.
Coconino's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Destiny Villas and Daphine Tso.
The victory got Coconino back to even at 1-1. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Coconino is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game this season. they challenge Saguaro at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for River Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 win vs. Valley Christian on the 26th.
