Lane Tech had already won six in a row and they went ahead and made it seven on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Proviso East Pirates. The Champions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

Lane Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amelie Patterson, who had eight assists and four aces. Those four aces gave Patterson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lena Palus, who had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Lane Tech was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matches.

The victory got Lane Tech back to even at 10-10. As for Proviso East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.

Lane Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Conant on the 13th. As for Proviso East, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Leyden on the 13th.
