Recap: River Hill Hawks vs. Oakland Mills Scorpions
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The River Hill Hawks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. Their tough 29-6 loss to Oakland Mills on Friday might stick with them for a while. River Hill has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Leading Oakland Mills to victory were Russell Carrington and Isaac Ramsey. Carrington gained 105 total yards and two touchdowns, while Ramsey rushed for 115 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry.
River Hill's defeat was their fourth straight at home , which bumped their record down to 5-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.0 points per game. As for Oakland Mills, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-6.
River Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oakland Mills is on the road again on Friday and play against Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th. Atholton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 109 points over their last three games.
