The Perryville Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Harford Tech Cobras at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Perryville will be strutting in after a victory while Harford Tech will be coming in after a loss.
Perryville headed into their last matchup having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Elkton let them put that streak behind them. The Panthers blew past the Golden Elks 24-11 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Golden Elks: they've now won three in a row.
Taegan Spier made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Spier was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, Taylor McGuirk was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Adams, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Perryville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Bel Air hit Harford Tech with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cobras came up short against the Bobcats, falling 12-1. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Harford Tech saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyric Strong, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Strong has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
Perryville's record is now 4-9. As for Harford Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Perryville suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to Harford Tech in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
