Softball Recap: Nash Central Takes a Loss

Nash Central had taken Bunn down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Nash Central Bulldogs lost 17-2 to the Bunn Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered against the Wildcats since March 22, 2022.

Nash Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was RYLEE BREWER, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. BREWER also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Nash Central and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Bunn, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Nash Central will take on North Pitt at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Nash Central has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Bunn, they will square off against Roanoke Rapids at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Bunn 3.1, Roanoke Rapids 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
