Volleyball Recap: Leigh Finds Playoff Glory Versus Mountain View

Leigh had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Mountain View Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win was familiar territory for the Longhorns, who have now won five matchups in a row.

The final score came out to 25-16, 21-25, 27-25, 25-22.

Cooper Smith paced Leigh's offense, picking up 25 kills. Smith got some help from Eric Wu and his 45 assists. Wu was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Leigh pushed their record up to 23-8 with the victory, which was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mountain View, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-11 record.

Leigh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Carlmont on the 15th. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
