Foothill dropped their record down to 5-11 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Del Oro Suns by a score of 14-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Trojans have suffered since March 28th.

As for Del Oro, they moved to 6-15 with that victory, which also ended their nine-game losing streak. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 16, 2024.

For Del Oro's part, they got a massive performance out of Xitlali Anaya, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Anaya has posted since back in March. Bryana Garcia was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

Foothill will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Golden Valley at 4:00 p.m. on May 6. As for Del Oro, they will host Mira Monte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Suns are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
