Baseball Recap: Lompoc Takes a Loss

Arroyo Grande hit Lompoc with a four-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Braves fell 6-3 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in March.

Kasch Kubasiewicz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Lompoc has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season. As for Arroyo Grande, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-14-1.

While Lompoc had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
