Basketball Recap: Madawaska Comes Up Short

Madawaska was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Ashland Hornets, falling 48-15. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Owls this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-10 two weeks ago.

Madawaska's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Ashland, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Madawaska will challenge Fort Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ashland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
