Baseball Recap: Conwell-Egan Catholic Comes Up Short

Conwell-Egan Catholic suffered their closest loss since June 6, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the St. Joseph's Prep Hawks by a score of 3-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Chase Forester was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over 5.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Conwell-Egan Catholic is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.
