Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry lost against McComb back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Perry came up short against McComb, falling 14-3.

Perry saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennedy Essex, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. That's the most hits Essex has posted since back in April of 2024.

Perry's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McComb, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry will venture away from home to face off against Jackson Center at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McComb, they will head out to take on Pandora-Gilboa at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
