Fenton fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Linden on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Lillian Tillier spent all 8.2 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Fenton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Underwood, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Fenton's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 13-2-1. As for Linden, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

While Fenton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
