Maurepas took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Pine, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Raiders on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.
Kade Penalber was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.
Maurepas' victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Pine, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
