While Buhler's win against Wellington wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Buhler skirted past Wellington 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-1 on Monday.

Asher Zachary spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.

On the hitting side, Buhler saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. Mitchel McDaniel was another, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Buhler is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wellington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buhler will face off against Augusta at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders are facing the Orioles at the right time seeing as the Orioles are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Wellington, they will host Clearwater on Thursday.
