Basketball Recap: Middleburgh Takes a Loss

Middleburgh lost against Canajoharie back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Middleburgh Knights lost 46-26 to the Canajoharie Cougars.

When it comes to explaining why Middleburgh lost, don't look at Payton Yung. Despite the final result, she went 8-for-17 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight boards and six blocks. That was a full 65.4% of Middleburgh's points, marking the seventh time in a row Yung has posted more than a third of the team's points.

Middleburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Canajoharie, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.

As of now, neither Middleburgh nor Canajoharie have any future games scheduled.
