Soccer Recap: Eagle Mountain Comes Up Short

Eagle Mountain lost against Lake Dallas back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagle Mountain Knights came up short against the Lake Dallas Falcons, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 682nd, while the Falcons are ranked 153rd).

This is the second loss in a row for Eagle Mountain and nudges their season record down to 3-10. As for Lake Dallas, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Mountain will take on Lake Worth at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle Mountain has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Lake Dallas, they will square off against Castleberry at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
