Flag Football Recap: Hueytown Picks Up Third Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Moody, Hueytown was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-6 victory over the Gardendale Rockets.

When it comes to explaining why Gardendale lost, don't look at Von Everrette. Despite the final result, she picked up 86 receiving yards and one score. Everrette also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.

Hueytown's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.0 points over those games. As for Gardendale, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-2.
