Monrovia's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Northview Vikings 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since August 25th.

Monrovia took Northview into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 25-20, 19-25, 15-11.

With the win, Monrovia broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-8. As for Northview, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-2.

Monrovia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against San Marino on the 11th. As for Northview, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against St. Lucy's on the 11th.
