Baseball Recap: Canyon View Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Canyon View had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Juab Wasps by a score of 11-6. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Falcons also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Zach Maine spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Noah Sandoval was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Canyon View's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 4-1 (and 8-10 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Miller, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Canyon View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are 6-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Canyon View now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Juab, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Canyon View will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wasps: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
