Basketball Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 48-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pleasanton Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-38 back in December of 2024.

Somerset's defeat dropped their record down to 7-23. As for Pleasanton, their win bumped their record up to 12-15.

Somerset will square off against Devine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Somerset likes a good challenge. As for Pleasanton, they will challenge Pearsall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasanton is facing Pearsall at the right time seeing as Pearsall is stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
