Football Recap: East Valley Knights vs. Colville Crimson Hawks
East Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 26-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colville Crimson Hawks.
Brock Benson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 61 yards and two touchdowns, while also catching a touchdown for Colville. Colville is undefeated when Benson posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
East Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Colville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Valley will host Clarkston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clarkston knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully East Valley likes a good challenge.
