Baseball Recap: Lakewood's Win Ends Nine-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakewood). They put the hurt on the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets with a sharp 15-3 victory on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 on Wednesday.

Lakewood's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10. As for Lower Richland, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10-1.

As for Lower Richland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lee Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Diamond Hornets are facing the Stallions at the right time seeing as the Stallions are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
