Basketball Recap: South Garner Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

South Garner extended their road winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Kimaya Barnes. The South Garner Titans strolled past the Corinth Holders Pirates with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 64-49 thanks in part to Barnes, who went 13 of 23 en route to 31 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Calise Crawford, who posted eight points in addition to 12 boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (three).

South Garner has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Corinth Holders, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

South Garner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-28 win against Fuquay - Varina on the 5th. As for Corinth Holders, they will square off against Willow Spring at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Willow Spring is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.
