Connetquot won the last time they faced Commack and things went their way on Monday too. The T-Birds walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Cougars.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 16-25, 25-21.

Ella Vereb paced Connetquot's offense, picking up 12 kills. Vereb got some help from Leah White and her 38 assists. White also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Gisele Trzaskalski, racking up two apiece.

Connetquot's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Looking ahead, Connetquot will host Lindenhurst at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Commack will be paying especially close attention to the T-Birds' matchup: after the T-Birds face off against Eastport-South Manor, they'll take on Commack again at 5:00 p.m. on October 6.
