Volleyball Recap: Manchester Red Hawks vs. New Britain Golden Hurricanes

Manchester was the 3-0 winner over New Britain when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Manchester Red Hawks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the New Britain Golden Hurricanes on Friday. The Red Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manchester actually scored more points across those four sets (92-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 16-25, 25-22, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Manchester still got an impressive performance from Kassandra Vargas, who had 11 digs. Vargas is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
