Volleyball Game Preview: La Veta Redhawks vs. Springfield Longhorns

The La Veta Redhawks will face off against the Springfield Longhorns at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. La Veta has now lost 14 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 29.

On Tuesday, La Veta came up short against Custer County and fell 3-1.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Springfield also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Wiley by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-23, 18-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Springfield's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for La Veta, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-17.

La Veta was able to grind out a solid victory over Springfield when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Redhawks repeat their success, or do the Longhorns have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
