Caldwell snaps four-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Caldwell Hornets vs. La Grange Leopards

It was a good run, but the Caldwell Hornets unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They were the victim of a rough 62-40 defeat at the hands of La Grange. Caldwell has struggled against La Grange recently, as their match on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Cordale Knapik went supernova for La Grange, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Knapik has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Clayton Cooper, who scored nine points along with two steals.

Caldwell's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-15. As for La Grange, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 22 games, which provided a nice bump to their 22-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Manor New Tech at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th. Manor New Tech knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matches -- so hopefully Caldwell likes a good challenge. As for La Grange, they will be playing at home against Austin Achieve at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Austin Achieve has struggled recently with four defeats in a row, while La Grange will arrive with 13 straight victories.
