Baseball Recap: Ebarb Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Ebarb and Calvin meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Rebels fell 9-5 to the Cougars. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Ebarb's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Calvin, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Looking ahead, Ebarb will take on Mansfield at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Calvin, they will square off against Dodson at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.06 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of.
