Northview is a perfect 6-0 against Baldwin Park since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Northview will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
Northview is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Covina, posting a 56-21 win. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Robert Lucero had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 134 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 72 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing touchdowns (two). Jaishon Bledsoe was Lucero's top target, picking up 66 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Northview didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Miguel Guillen led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Andrew Ramos has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times he's played. Guillen got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Baldwin Park came up short against Monrovia last Friday, falling 35-14. The matchup marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Although Baldwin Park took the loss, they still got scores from Donovan St Cyr and Jayden Maxie.
Even if they lost, Baldwin Park's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Gregory Holland, Aiden Garcia, and Esteban Cortez, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Having lost for the first time this season, Baldwin Park fell to 4-1. As for Northview, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.
Thursday's contest will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Lucero and Valentino May. Lucero just won't slow down this season and has thrown 10 touchdowns while averaging 186 passing yards per game. May has been a dominant force too and has thrown 15 touchdowns while averaging 239.8 passing yards per game.
Everything came up roses for Northview against Baldwin Park in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 28-0 victory. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
