Football Recap: Conroe Tigers vs. College Park Cavaliers
Conroe put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 23-14 win over the College Park Cavaliers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Conroe can attribute much of their success to Christian Nunley, who rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 109 yards on nine of 13 attempts. Backing up that air attack was Dramekco Green, who rushed for 83 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Another reason for the win was Conroe's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. In that department, Jadyn Ramos was the leader with three.
Despite the loss, College Park still got an impressive performance from Clint Rachal, who picked up 215 receiving yards and a touchdown. Rachal's longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Hughes, who threw for 233 yards and two touchdowns on only 19 passes.
Conroe's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for College Park, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Conroe will venture away from home to face off against New Caney at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for College Park, they will host Oak Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. College Park is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
