Soccer Game Preview: Andrew vs. Sandburg

The Andrew Thunderbolts are taking a road trip to square off against the Sandburg Eagles at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Andrew's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Andrew came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to Lockport.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Sandburg's offense. They came up short against Lincoln-Way Central on Thursday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Sandburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Lincoln-Way Central are ranked 12th).

Sandburg's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-4-3. As for Andrew, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-2.
