Softball Recap: Hershey Sets Scoring Season-High Against Chase County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hershey). Everything went their way against the Chase County Longhorns on Thursday as they made off with a 15-4 victory. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Karleigh Didier, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alayna Feeney was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Hershey hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive matches.

Hershey's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Chase County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hershey beat the Longhorns by a score of 12-0 later that day.
