Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Christian Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian lost against Evangel Christian two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lightning. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leading Evangel Christian to victory were Erin Campbell and Emma Jones. Campbell had 11 digs and one assist, while Jones had five aces.

Cornerstone Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Evangel Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won 16 of their last 19 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6-1 record this season.

Cornerstone Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evangel Christian, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 tie against Clarke Prep on the 4th.
