Soccer Recap: University City Starts Season with Victory on the Road

University City had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the La Costa Canyon Mavericks get on the board and left with a 2-0 win.

Jakub Balana and Sahil Kibria scored both of University City's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University City will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Cathedral Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Costa Canyon, they will square off against Calexico at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
